Dr. James Allen

Dr. Allen graduated from The University of The Pacific school of Dentistry in San Francisco California. Upon graduating, he received the award for clinical excellence for the class of 2002.

He continues today with his constant pursuit of clinical excellence. Dr. Allen is a perfectionist and it shows in his office and the community dental care services he offers. It is his goal to treat each and every patient in a gentle manner and to give them the best possible care. Dr. Allen is a caring and skilled practitioner. He believes in keeping up with the technology and attends many courses to expand his knowledge and sharpen his skills.

Dr. Allen welcomes any questions or concerns you might have about your treatment. He is willing to talk to you at the time of your appointment or if you are more comfortable calling him or just forgot to ask him something at your appointment, he welcomes your call.

Dr. Allen grew up in Idaho Falls but now calls Rexburg his home. Dr. Allen and his wife Katie moved to Rexburg with their two small children in 2003.

Since then they have had three more children and are enjoying raising their family in “America’s Family Community.” Dr. Allen is very involved in the community. He is a member and former president of Life Active. A nonprofit organization that was organized to promote a healthy life style for adults and children. He also enjoys volunteering his time by coaching youth sports as well as providing dental education in many different settings.

Dr. Colt Sweeten grew up in Rexburg, ID the oldest of five children. He graduated from Madison High School, then served a two year mission to Portugal. Shortly after returning home from him mission, he met his wife, Serene, who is also from small town Idaho. They were married in Rexburg and completed their studies at BYUI before Dr. Sweeten was accepted into dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. During his time in school, Dr. Sweeten and his wife were blessed with two beautiful children, Lainey and Clark. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Sweeten and his family moved to Montana to begin working. Just this last April, they were blessed with another little girl, Ava, who is the star of their house right now. They are excited for the opportunity to be back home close to family and a community they hold dear. Dr. Sweeten is excited to get reacquainted with old friends and get to know all of the unfamiliar faces that have become part of the community in his years away from home. Dr. Sweeten and his family enjoy many activities including camping, hiking, snowboarding, biking and all types of sports. Dr. Sweeten loves to shoot his bow and play basketball any chance he gets. Dr. Sweeten considers himself a people person and loves that dentistry allows him to be artistic and compassionate while helping others to improve their health through an understanding of dentistry.
